Hi Anju. You should definitely take your Drs advice about stopping your antidepressant medication. If you dont need it, there is no need to take it but sometimes medications are necessary even during pregnancy. Lupron is very widely used and the majority of patients do not have significant side effects although hot flashes can occur if you take it a long time. These stop when the other ovulation stimulation drugs are used. Good luck with your egg donation treatment

Hi there,I just found you after spending an hour rideang about Lupron on fertiliy blogs and realized after several my Hubby that maybe I should see if there was a blog out there of women like me.My partner and I started a month ago with birth control pills; she's donating an egg to me. She's 35 and I'm 42. I start Lupron tomorrow and am totally petrified after everything I've been rideang. Also, I've been on antidepressants (Lexapro and Pristiq) for 4 and a half years and went off them to do this. I'm a total maniac and our re doctor tells me absolutely go back on them, but I'm so scared to introduce another possible risk (although my current mental state might be a risk to my partner Anyone else dealing with this? Finally, we don't have sperm yet! We were looking at California Cryo but felt like it was so much the WalMart of sperm banks and read some things on the donor sibling registry we weren't psyched about. We have an appt with The Sperm Bank of California on Monday. Any thoughts out there about this would be much appreciated. Thanks for starting this blog; looking forward to finding good support here.Best,jd
