Donor matching

It takes approximately 3 weeks for the results of all of these test results to be available and donor matching can only begin afterwards. The first criterion in matching is the CMV (Cytomegalovirus) status as discussed above.

After this we try to match your physical characteristics with that of the donor. The information we use includes: Ethnic origin (e.g. Caucasian, Black, Asian), height, build, skin tone, hair colour and eye colour. It is important to remember that not only are the characteristics of the female recipient taken into account but also those of her partner. The egg sharing program is overseen by a very experienced doctor at the Clinic, which contributes to the close matching of donors and recipients and consistency in their treatment..

During the cycle their will be a different individual responsible for managing the egg donors treatment and your own.
