Quality management

Quality is an overused word. Many clinics will describe their services as high quality but how do they justify this. At CRM London we are proud to demonstrate our Quality credentials.

We are one of a handful of IVF clinics in the UK with ISO 9001:2008 Certification (pdf) for our Quality Management system. We are also the only one to the best of our knowledge to be awarded this certification at the first attempt and with no non-conformities i.e, the certification authorities did not identify a single area where CRM London did not fulfil the required standards for quality.

What this means for you as a patient of CRM London, is that external auditors confirm that our programme is 100% focussed on meeting your requirements. We believe that your requirements in coming to us for treatment are to have a baby and be highly satisfied with the care that you receive from us. It's that simple!!! So we have put processes in place to achieve good results, we monitor them, we measure them, we have defined objectives to achieve and we question ourselves if we don’t achieve them. For example one of our objectives was that 80% of patients treated here rated their overall care as “excellent”. In fact we were delighted that at the end of the year 83% of patients rated us as excellent. Our pregnancy rates are amongst the highest in the country but as we are committed to continual improvement our objectives for this year are higher than what we achieved last year and we measure ourselves against our objectives every month to see how we are performing.

During our 2011 International Standards Organisation (ISO 9001) inspection the inspector was so impressed by our clinic that he included the following statement in the resulting inspection report:

'CRM London is definitely one of the leading IVF units in the UK. This statement includes not only organisation, but infrastructure and medical expertise'. ISO 9001 inspector (Aug 2011).
